These Fendt narrow orchard and vineyard tractors are the best on the market and this re-vamp brings them way ahead using the latest technology. Now with an air-cooled engine designed with fuel efficiency in mind, increased horse-power and starting a new era with a totally stepless Vario transmission. The cab has been designed to give easy access, great visibility and a comfortable work environment.
So what has the Fendt 200 Vario got for you?
Engines
A new 3 cylinder water cooled Sisu (owned by Agco) engine was developed especially for the new 200 Vario and complies with all Tier III emission requirements. The engine was designed using the latest technologies to obtain high performance rates with economical fuel consumption. It uses speed independent common rail injection technology along with external exhaust gas recirculation which provides targeted cooling. There are now five models giving power outputs of 70, 80, 90, 100 and 110 horsepower. The new engines also allow bio-diesel to be used without modifications. The 76 litre fuel tank is integrated in to the bonnet to save space.
Gearbox
No longer required as we now have a Vario stepless transmission!
Transmission
The Vario transmission has been tried and tested in the larger Fendt tractors for many years and has now been adapted to a smaller scale to give the first narrow tractor of its kind with a totally stepless transmission. With one joystick you can travel forward or reverse, accelerate and decelerate and activate cruise control. Any speed is possible from 20 metres per hour to 40 km per hour and the speed can be changed without any jerking, even on slopes therefore giving much more safety. The cruise control function can be set to a constant forward speed and engine rpm, making carrying out tasks much easier and it also greatly reduces the travelling time in the orchard and to and from the job. The Vario transmission saves valuable work time and also gives low fuel consumption, for example the top speed (40 kph) is obtained at a fuel saving 1750 rpm. There are no gears and heavy clutch packs to consume power and increase fuel consumption.
PTO
PTO clutching and de-clutching is done by a push button on the right hand
console. 540 and 750 rear PTO speeds are standard with 1000 and ground speed
available as an option. Using the 750 speed (economy PTO) but reducing the
engine speed so the PTO only rotates at 540 means many jobs can be done at
increased fuel efficiency.
Front linkage & PTO
Front PTO and linkage is available as 540 or 1000 rpm. It can be ordered with
the tractor for factory fitment or retrospectively and is available on both
2 and 4 wheel drive tractors.
Four Wheel Drive
These tractors have the same successful four wheel drive system as the previous model tractors. Axle with centre drive line from the transmission is standard. It has a 58 degree steering lock for tight turns and an improved castor angle for greater comfort on straight ahead driving.
The carrying capacity of the front axle alone is 3800KG. Engagement of both 4wd and diff lock is by touch pad on the dash board. New comfort controls allow for 4wd to automatically disengage over 15 KPH and if the steering angle exceeds 18 degrees or be permanently engaged.
There has been a change over recent years to the majority of tractors being supplied with four wheel drive so therefore as standard we now supply four wheel drive tractors. Optional two wheel drive is available on the models 207 (70hp) and 208 (80hp) V/F/P.
Differential lock
Rear lock is also operated by touch pad on the dash board and is 100% disc
locking. As with the four wheel drive the diff locks will disengage over 15
KPH, if the steering angle exceeds 18 degrees and if the brakes are operated.
Due to their disc design the diff locks can be engaged under full load and
disengage immediately.
Brakes
The all new oil immersed disc brakes have improved the stopping time so that
the permissible all-up weight limit has been increased to 4000KG. On all 4wd
tractors the 4wd is engaged when the brakes are applied guaranteeing braking
on all four wheels. 2wd tractors also have brakes on the front, giving four wheel braking.
Spool valves
Hydraulic oil flow has been increased and the systems refined to be the best
in the field. Up to 76 ltrs/min oil flow can be had through 3 circuits. The
swinging power lift can be operated in parallel with a spool valve. So you
may be operating a hydraulic motor on a mower, a vine trimmer or separate
spool block on a forklift and the rear hydraulics will function at the same
time. All spool valve outlets are adjustable for flow to operate the implement
safely at the correct speed. All levers are speed related, the further you
push the lever the quicker the oil flow. All spool valves are operated from
the control panel on the right of the cab, two spools are on the cross gate
lever and up to four more with their own levers and integrated flow controls.
The cross gate lever has a side button built in to operate a remote electrical
supply for changeover valve or override switching.
Hydraulics
Rear hydraulics are updated with EPC - B which has a shock loading system
built in. In transport with an implement on the hydraulics the rear power
lift lowers slightly as the tractor hits a bump, so reducing the bounce and
improving the ride. Higher driver comfort and greater control are the benefits.
A switch on the rear wing for raising and lowering the hydraulics is standard
fitment.
Cab and comforts
This is the ultimate narrow tractor cab for comfort and a relaxing working environment! It now has a totally flat floor as there is no transmission tunnel or any gear levers to battle with, meaning that access in and out of the
cab is very easy and there is fantastic legroom. All-round windows and roof window provide excellent visibility to the working environment and implements. The height and tilt adjustable steering wheel and comfort seat with optional air suspension ensure the best operating position. Heating and air conditioning are standard and in addition we fit HEPA carbon filters to keep your working environment safe. The Vario lever and operating controls are grouped together on the right for optimum ergonomics and efficiency. The cab is now even quieter due to better insulation, having a new water cooled engine and being more isolated from the engine and chassis. A radio/CD player keeps the driver whistling happily.
The new instrument panel has separate engine speed and forward speed displays with additional switchable digital display of pto speeds, engine speed, forward speed or time.
