Tractors

Fendt tractors
Fendt make narrow tractors from 65HP to 95 HP in 2 & 4 wheel drive. The range was updated in 2003, bringing the latest technology to the market leading orchard tractor. We are pleased to be able to offer these top quality tractors and provide the service and parts backup throughout the Southern Counties.

Carraro tractors
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer Carraro orchard tractors manufactured by Agritalia in Italy. These economical tractors are available in 56,70 and 77 horsepower versions with 4 wheel drive.

Sprayers

Berthoud
Berthoud have had sprayers in use in this country in since 1970 and have built up a formidable reputation for reliability and long life. As main agents for the South East of England we stock spares for current and older machines as well as new sprayers. The ARBO BX 1000 litre trailed sprayer is the most commonly used sprayer for both fruit and hops, this has now been replaced by the FRUCTAIR. Smaller acreage's and those spraying ultra low volume often use the MAXAIR 484 mounted 400 litre sprayer. For soft fruit the PUMA range with multiple heads gives the ultimate in directional spraying. We also manufacture a cross flow axial fan orchard sprayer. The SPEEDAIR directional sprayer for top fruit is becoming the most popular and environmentally friendly choice.

OCLL Sprayers
A competitive range of air blast sprayers are imported and sold by us. These sprayers are well built, simple and efficient. We have a range of models from vineyard sprayers to trailed tower sprayers, the most popular being in stock now.

Weed boom sprayer
For efficient application and best effect, our shielded weed boom allows herbicide spraying to be carried out later in the season, enabling perennial weeds to be eradicated. This eliminates the need for later spot treatments which are costly in time and material.

LH Agro spray monitors
To complement the sprayers we fit spray monitors and fully automatic dose systems. These can be fitted to any sprayer and will regulate the quantity of spray being applied as you are spraying. Errors in application due to the incorrect forward speed are eliminated and greater control over chemicals applied is achieved.

Chemical transfer system
To comply with the regulations on handling Thinsec we have our proven Chemical transfer system now with optional small volume closed transfer unit which allows part containers to be measured as the regulations require.

Lazo Frostbuster
For frost protection in high value crops the Lazo Frostbuster puts your mind at rest. The machine works by burning propane gas to provide a heated air supply, which is then blown by a large tractor driven fan across the orchard or into the polytunnel.

Bullion Machinery

This is our trade name for specialist machinery imported or handled by us for the fruit, hop and vineyard market.

Bullion Trimcut
A unique small tractor linkage mounted cutter bar hedge trimmer run totally off the tractor hydraulics. These simple machines will cut one year growth on windbreaks, fruit trees and are used as an aid to pruning blackcurrants (for which we make a modified arm).

Forklifts
Tractor mounted forklifts are still the most cost effective movers and stackers of pallets or bins in the orchard. We sell a range starting with a lift capacity of 1200kg and with a lifting height of 1.7 metres. All forklifts have cable controls from the hydraulic spool valve into the tractor cab.

Pneumatic pruners
Not a new idea but still saving many growers time and money by speeding up their pruning operation. We import a range of tractor and engine driven compressors with reels and hand tools from Italy. We hold extensive stocks of new equipment and spare parts to start you off and keep you going.

Subsoilers
Based on McConnel Shakerators we manufacture special width frames for strawberries, fruit and hops. Depth wheels can be following to roll down any surface disturbance.

Weed Burner
Developed for used around the tree or under bushes, we are now producing a tractor mounted flame weed burner using propane gas.

Perfect machines

Mowers
Perfect mowers have been sold in England since the mid 1960's and some of the original machines are still at work today. For quality machines to work effectively and efficiently Perfect cannot be beaten. Rotary machines from 1m to 3.8m with optional variable width and swing-wings to work around plants/posts are all available along with spray-mow mowers which have bought great savings to orchard maintenance.

Solo-Swing
New hydraulically driven swing-arm mounted on the front of the tractor for mowing around trees or posts without damage. Alternatively it is available as an attachment for a rotary mower or flail topper.

Pulverisers and Flail Toppers
Perfect pulverisers are the best on the market. Size of material used in manufacture and quality of parts make these the strongest and longest lasting machines available. Flail toppers or pulverisers will mow and chop up most crop residues. The standard pulveriser will cut tree prunings of 60mm diameter, the heavier duty machines up to 100mm diameter. A nylon brush is available to brush debris away from the plant into the path of the pulveriser if required.

Fischer mowers
We have been importing these machines from Italy for a while now and have found them to be very sturdy and well built, effective mower, that has a nice neat cut and leaves a well mulched material. Mowers are available with a hydraulically controlled PTO driven swing-wing, or variable width gear driven, or as a spray-mow mower.

Ommas cultivators
For cultivating around fruit trees, vines, bush or cane fruit the Ommas inter-plant cultivator is the ideal machine. This mechanically driven cultivator moves in and out around the tree trunk as the machine travels down the row.

Root pruner
This new machine to the UK has been popular in Europe following the ban of growth regulators.

Band spreader
All the way from Australia, the new Crump trailed spreader for accurate band spreading of fertilisers is available. Ground wheel driven and able to spread very low rates.

Controlled Atmosphere Storage Systems
Good fruit storage is still in short supply and we have a range of ULO "Ultra Low Oxygen" equipment in the form of CO2 scrubbers, nitrogen generators and analysing equipment. The equipment comes mainly from the Besseling company in Holland who have had many years experience of ULO systems. We have a number of installations in the South East and the West Midlands operating to remove CO2 and operate at 1.25% oxygen without a problem. Nitrogen is sometimes used to flush stores after loading or when opened and released. We have nitrogen generators for sale in mobile or static form for the larger storage complex. A mobile nitrogen generator is available to you for hire. In the event of a storage regime problem we can come and connect to your problem store our nitrogen generator to bring the oxygen level down. We will of course rectify the cause of the problem.

Packhouse Equipment
For those who need to pack fruit, we are able to supply complete or part grading and packing lines including; bin dumpers, driers, fruit graders and sorters with colour/weight/quality sorting, tray packers, bin fillers and overwrapping machines.
