Blackcurrant Sprayer

This sprayer has been designed and built by us using Micron Turbofan spray heads to meet specialist customer requirements. It is suitable for use in blackcurrrants or other bush fruit.

The Turbofan spray heads are hydraulically driven by the self contained hydraulic system at 4000 rpm using a PTO speed of just 450 rpm. The volume applied through each head can be between 0.25 and 2.0 Ltr/min with a droplet size of 100 to 120 VMD.

The spray head incorporates an axial fan which produces a turbulent swirling air stream which carries the spray to the target, disturbs the foliage and gives good penetration even in dense crops.

1500 litre tank, galvanised chassis and framework, AR503 Pump, WA pto shaft, 3 solenoid valves , high / low pressure regulating valve, suction filter and tank filter.
400/60/15.3 Tyres.
6 hydraulic Micronair Turbofan spray heads capable of from 150 to 500 lt/ha.
Boom width 6 metres, with hydraulic folding and lifting.
Transport width 1.9 Metres
Quick wash circuit, hand wash tank, Polmac mixer and steering drawbar.
Self contained hydraulic system designed for operating at 450 PTO rpm for economy of operation.
Optional LH Agro spray monitoring system.

We can also use pneumatic nozzles and sprayheads as shown in the pictures below.
